This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Talk with Raya (“Raya”, “we”) uses and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
The short version
- Some cookies are needed for Raya to work, such as keeping you signed in. These are always on.
- With your consent, we also use cookies to measure how Raya is used and to record visits, so we can make it better. You choose in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time.
- We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser so it can remember something about you between pages or visits. Websites can also save information in your browser in other ways, called local storage and session storage. In this policy we call all of these “cookies” unless we say otherwise.
2. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are needed for Raya to work, so they are always on:

3. Information saved in your browser
Raya also saves a little information in your browser, which never leaves your device unless you send it to us:
- Your answers before sign-up: the job type, field and location you choose, so you do not lose them if you reload the page. Cleared when you close the tab.
- Your CV editing session: a random identifier that keeps your CV edits in order. Cleared when you close the tab.
- Jobs you save: jobs you save on the job board, so they are still there next time. Kept until you remove them or clear your browser data.
4. Cookies set by others
When you pay, you complete payment on a page run by our third-party payment processor, and when you sign in with Google or connect your email account, you do so on Google's own pages. Those services may set their own cookies, for example to prevent fraud, and those cookies are covered by their own policies. We do not use any third-party analytics cookies on Raya, other than the usage measurement and session recordings above, which only run if you agree.
5. Measuring how Raya is used
Before you choose, we count page visits and clicks without any cookie or browser storage, so each visit is counted on its own and is not linked to you. If you refuse, we stop measuring altogether. If you agree, we use the cookies above, and when you are signed in we link your visits to your account. Our Privacy Policy explains what is recorded.
6. Controlling cookies
You can change your choices at any time here. Turning measurement off also deletes its cookies from your browser.
You can also see, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block or delete the strictly necessary cookies, you will be signed out and parts of Raya, such as signing in and paying, will not work. Clearing your browser data also removes the information described in section 3.
7. Changes to this policy
If we start using other kinds of cookies, such as for advertising, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
